Level 4 NYC: Student Wisdom Final Drafts

On Tuesday, students returned to the Words of Wisdom.  We were asked to display these projects for a multicultural festival, and the students worked hard to make final drafts of their Words of Wisdom projects.

We focused on proofreading, checking for spelling and grammar.  And we also worked on making text visual.  We examined some examples of visual texts, discussed what made these texts successful or not.

The students decided where to put emphasis in their own texts.  They planned images and symbols they could use, and made decisions on word placement on the page.

Note: These are some quick photos I took at the end of class.  After the festival, I will scan them and update with higher-quality images.
